This small device is used to check the alcohol content in wines. It is based on the principle of capillary action.

Instructions for use:
- Fill the funnel halfway with the liquid, allowing approximately ten drops to flow out through the opening at the end of the graduated tube.
- Turn the wine alcohol meter upside down and place it on a flat surface, allowing the liquid to drain from the funnel.
- The liquid level will slowly drop and stop at the mark indicating the alcohol content of the liquid being tested.
