Shichirin Large Rectangular by Yakiniku® – The Traditional Japanese Table Grill
The Shichirin is a traditional Japanese table grill, also known as Konro, perfect for those seeking an authentic and convivial culinary experience. The Large Rectangular model by Yakiniku®, available at Polsinelli's store, offers 40% more cooking surface compared to the Medium version, making it ideal for professional use or social grilling sessions with up to 8 people. With dimensions of 55.5 x 25.5 x 17.5 cm and a weight of 19 kg, it is easy to position and transport while ensuring stability and safety during use.
Grilling on a Shichirin, a practice once reserved for Samurai, is a refined art where precision and elegance combine to create a unique experience. With this rectangular grill, you can carefully cook small pieces of meat, fish, and vegetables, preserving the flavors and characteristics of each ingredient.
The Yakiniku® Shichirin grills are made with a special blend of ceramic, quartz, and cordierite, fired at high temperatures to ensure durability and longevity. The black glazed finish, which makes cleaning easy, along with stainless steel accents and heat-resistant bamboo handles, enhance the elegance of Japanese design.
These table grills are designed for outdoor use only, operating with briquettes, self-lighting briquettes, or charcoal. For the best results, it is recommended to use Binchotan charcoal, known as Japan's black gold, which allows for extremely high temperatures, ensuring intense and even cooking.
With the Shichirin Yakiniku®, you can bring Japanese tradition to your home and turn every evening into a unique and authentic gourmet outdoor experience.

Tips for Using Binchotan Charcoal
To light Binchotan, it is recommended to create a base layer of softer charcoal, such as acacia charcoal, and place Binchotan pieces diagonally on top. This method facilitates ignition and prolonged combustion. Alternatively, a gas burner can be used, which takes approximately 15 minutes to fully ignite the charcoal.
