Description

Oat flakes (1 kg)

Oat flakes are used in brewing to increase the body and foam retention of beer. Used in Bière Blanche and some Stouts. They are gelatinised cereal flakes from which sugars can be extracted to impart special flavours to beer. To achieve the conversion of starch into fermentable sugars, they must be blended with malt grains (Pilsner or Pale Ale type).
