The chimney is made up of three main parts: lid, central cylinder, and base. Operation is simple and intuitive: fill the base with a layer of lump charcoal, then insert Binchotan logs vertically into the cylinder. Place 2–3 natural firelighters underneath, light them, and cover with the filled cylinder.
After 15–30 minutes, the charcoal will be fully lit and ready to be transferred into your Kamado or Shichirin grill. After grilling, you can extinguish the coals by rotating the base and applying the lid—this way, you reduce waste and can reuse the charcoal later.
