The Cast Iron Deep Casserole with lid is made from strong, durable cast iron, a material valued for its excellent ability to absorb, distribute and retain heat during cooking.
Extremely versatile, it can be used on a variety of heat sources, including induction hobs, grills, open flames and ovens, making it ideal for a wide range of recipes, from slow, prolonged cooking to high-temperature cooking.
The casserole is pre-seasoned with 100% vegetable soybean oil, creating a natural, PFAS-free non-stick surface. This finish also allows the use of metal cooking utensils.
With a diameter of 28 cm, a height of 13 cm and a capacity of 5.5 litres, it provides ample space for preparing roasts, stews, braised dishes, soups and many other recipes.
To preserve the properties of the cast iron and its natural finish over time, hand washing only is recommended. The surface also has limited resistance to acidic foods; for this reason, the casserole should not be used for food storage.
